Why I'm Running

I moved to Robbinsdale in 2021 and quickly developed a deep connection with this city. The friendships I've formed, the connections I've made with my neighbors, and the strong sense of community I've experienced have shown me just how special Robbinsdale is.

I have always believed in a "roll up your sleeves" approach to helping others. It would be an absolute privilege to serve my neighbors in Ward 3 and help foster a future that strengthens our community connections, lifts our civic spirit, and ensures responsible growth and governance for our future.

Strengthen Community Connections

One of the things that makes Robbinsdale special is the strong sense of community that exists within our neighborhoods. I want to find new ways to foster neighborhood involvement and help residents build connections with one another.

Downtown Robbinsdale is an important part of our city's identity and a place where residents come together. I want to be a conduit for our creative residents, businesses, and community organizations to help bring unique activities and traditions to downtown.

Pedestrian safety and walkability are essential to encouraging interaction between neighbors. I want to work with our parks and sustainability committees to expand bike and pedestrian infrastructure so residents can safely connect with parks, local businesses, and other third spaces.

Lift the Civic Spirit

Robbinsdale has a unique character worth celebrating. We have a thriving historic downtown, beautiful neighborhoods, and a distinct identity that sets us apart from many other suburbs in the Twin Cities.

A strong civic spirit starts with residents who are engaged and invested in their community. That can mean beautifying our city, keeping shared spaces clean, supporting local events and businesses, and seeking opportunities for more murals and public art.

My hope is that when people visit Robbinsdale they think, "Wow, people here have something special and I want to be a part of it."

Responsible Growth and Governance

Robbinsdale is fortunate to have a vibrant downtown and many small businesses that contribute to our city's unique character. Local businesses create jobs, provide gathering places for neighbors, and help make Robbinsdale a destination within the Twin Cities.

As our city grows and evolves, it is important that we balance new opportunities with the neighborly spirit that makes Robbinsdale special. Responsible governance means advocating for residents, making informed decisions, and ensuring growth benefits our entire community.

A strong local economy can help ease the burden of rising costs by broadening our tax base and creating new opportunities for investment. We must also invest wisely in the infrastructure that keeps Robbinsdale moving forward, from streets and sidewalks to parks and public facilities.
